Join us for an exciting hands-on Fermentation Workshop at Parlez Restaurant, located next to Brockley Station, on Tuesday 10th December from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM.
First part of this workshop will take you through a 45 min Yoga class with Monica, exploring a range of practices incorporating movement and breath to support digestive health.
After this gentle but invigorating session, we are going to explore the latest findings in gut health with Jelena, the importance of eating fermented foods regularly and how you can make them safely at home. Latest studies are showing that including fermented foods daily in your diet can increase diversity of your microbiome, decrease inflammation markers, have positive outcomes on your overall mood and shift your cravings.
We will make kimchi together that you will take home as well as water kefir grains that will enable you to continuously make a probiotic drink for the whole family.
Handout will provide you with two recipes and a list of things to help you set up a successful and playful fermentation practice. After the event we will also send you an email with a short video on a breathing technique and movements so you can continue to ferment, breathe, and move for health after the event.
Please bring a Yoga Mat and two 500 ml jars for your ferments. We encourage you to bring whatever jars you already have, even if you need to bring four 250ml jars, just make sure they are washed and thoroughly rinsed.
